Fall River Police investigating after male victim stabbed in the chest

Fall River Police are investigating what appears to be a serious stabbing.

According to Sergeant Ross Aubin, at approximately 8:45 p.m., officers responded to the Cottell Heights Housing Development on Pleasant Street following reports of a male victim suffering from a stab wound to the chest.

Emergency medical personnel provided immediate aid, and the victim was promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Officers are currently securing the scene, and the investigation has been turned over to detectives and the Crime Scene Unit.
