City of Fall River participating in White Ribbon Pledge, Mayor Paul Coogan to deliver annual State of the City

FALL RIVER, MA – On Friday, March 7th, at 1:15 p.m. the City of Fall River will be joining SSTAR, Greater Fall River Domestic Violence Coalition, District Attorney’s Office, WIC & Healthfirst Inc. in the White Ribbon Pledge.

Speakers include a representative from SSTAR, a proclamation given by Mayor Paul Coogan, and the White Ribbon Pledge will be led by District Attorney Thomas Quinn.

The White Ribbon Pledge is a commitment to end violence and promoting respect, safety, and equality for all, while taking a stand against gender-based harm.

Also, on Tuesday, March 11th, at 5:30 p.m., Mayor Paul Coogan will deliver the annual State of the City address from the City Council Chambers at the Fall River Government Center.

Mayor Coogan will be addressing a joint meeting of the Fall River City Council and School Committee.

This event is open to the public and all residents are encouraged to attend. The speech is to be broadcasted live on the Fall River Government Television (FRGTV) (Xfinity channel 18) as well as the FRGTV live feeds on Facebook and YouTube.
