Police report 73-year-old man dies from injuries sustained in Cape Cod collision
A man is dead after a collision on Cape Cod over the weekend.
On Sunday, at just after 6:30 p.m., the Falmouth Police Department responded to a report of a pedestrian crash at the intersection of Gifford Street and Dillingham Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers located a 73-year-old male pedestrian who had been struck by a motor vehicle.
The operator of the vehicle remained on the scene and rendered aid until emergency services arrived.
The Falmouth Fire and Rescue Department transported the pedestrian to Falmouth Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council’s Accident Reconstruction Team and the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Investigations responded to assist with the investigation.
This incident remains under active investigation.
