A Massachusetts man has some fun on the agenda after hitting big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Michael Koldys of Sheffield is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$5,000,000 100X Cashword” $20 instant ticket game.

He chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). Koldys plans on buying a new boat, saving for retirement, and having some fun with his winnings.

He purchased his winning ticket at Silk’s Variety, 107 Main St. in Sheffield. Silk’s Variety is an original agent of the Massachusetts Lottery and has been selling Lottery tickets since 1972. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

The game has one $5 million and 7 $1 million prizes remaining.
