Homeless man found deceased in Rhode Island remembered as devoted and loyal to his family and friends
A man who was found dead in Rhode Island last week is being remembered.
The deceased male found last Wednesday near the bike path and entrance of Tongue Pond in Cranston was positively identified as David Rios, age 46, formerly of Westerly.
He was released from the ACI on 10/23/24 and was believed to be homeless.
The medical examiner ruled out foul play. Toxicology results are pending.
According to a GoFundMe fundraiser raising money for funeral expenses, despite his past and struggles, “David was a loving, caring man. He was devoted and loyal to his family and friends. His smile was beautiful and contagious. It would light up any room he was in. He was always quiet, but somehow, you always knew he was there, like an angel, just watching over everyone.”
Services have yet to be announced.
