25-year-old Massachusetts man deceased from highway motorcycle crash leaves behind 5-month-old daughter
A Massachusetts man killed in a crash this week is being remembered.
25-year-old Wilmar Gonzalez Gatica of Waltham passed away Monday evening from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident after leaving work on Route 1 South in Chelsea near Webster Avenue. The motorcycle was the only vehicle involved.
According to a GoFundMe created by his coworkers at Kiwi Logistics, Wilmar always put everyone else before himself and has always tried to make life easier for others.
Coworkers say that “Wilmar started working at Kiwi Logistics as a Delivery Associate in 2023. He was quickly promoted to a manager position. Wilmar had shown dedication, resilience, and leadership qualities. His professionalism and kindness touched so many lives during his time working at Kiwi Logistics.”
Gatica leaves behind a wife and a five-month-old daughter Chelsea.
Those who wish to pay their respects to Wilmar and his family can do so in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, Waltham on Monday October 7th from 6pm until 9pm.
Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Wilmar’s life to remember the love and friendship he shared with so many others at a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Mary’s Church, 145 School Street, Waltham on Tuesday October 8th at 10:00am. Burial will take place in Guatemala.
