Physical altercation in McDonalds drive-thru in Fall River leads to arrest
An incident on Saturday involving a knife took place at a Fall River fast-food restaurant.
According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, at approximately 10:50 a.m., units responded to the McDonalds located at 1853 South Main Street after the department received reports that a male had brandished a firearm during an altercation.
Upon arrival, it was determined that there was no firearm involved in the incident. While in the drive thru, a verbal altercation occurred between two vehicles. One of the males brandished a knife at an occupant of a vehicle in the drive thru.
Pereira stated that a physical altercation immediately followed between the passenger of the vehicle and the male who brandished the knife. After the altercation, the passenger then left the area in the vehicle operated by the male who brandished the knife at him.
18-year-old Kaycky Alves of Worcester was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and vandalism.
An arrest warrant for larceny of a motor vehicle has been requested for the other male involved.
