A Massachusetts man is on the move after hitting big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Ailton Ferreira of Malden has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Bonus 50X” $5 instant ticket game.
Ferreira opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He said he plans on purchasing a home and paying for his son’s college education with the winnings.
He purchased his winning ticket at Regina’s, 203 Main St. in Everett. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
