Southeastern Massachusetts contractor accused of scamming customers, being unlicensed

A local contractor is accused of being unlicensed and scamming customers.

According to Chief Michael Carbone, on January 12, 2024, Officer Michelle McDonnell took a report from a resident who had allegedly been scammed out of $900. The resident contacted Associated Contractor Services to do repair work at their home. The owner of the company, Michael Temple, came out and quoted a price for the repair work and took a $900 deposit. Temple reportedly never attempted to do the repair work or return the deposit. 

Detective John Mann was able to contact Temple, who after promising to return the money, never did. 

Detective John Mann charged Temple with larceny by false pretense and being an unlicensed contractor. At this time Temple had two outstanding warrants both having similar charges. 

On April 18, 2024, Detectives John Mann, Rob Flynn and Officer Michelle McDonnell knowing Temple was going to be in a particular area in Duxbury waited for his arrival. Once Temple arrived, he was placed under arrest for the outstanding warrants charging him with, Larceny by False Pretense, being an Unlicensed Home Contractor, and Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License.
