Fall River native, founder of LePage’s Seafood, dies, remembered for kindness and generosity
A man well-known in the Fall River area community has died.
72-year-old Eric LePage passed away Monday after a brief illness.
LePage was a Tiverton resident but was born in Fall River where he attended Diman Regional and graduated from Bristol Community College.
According to an obituary, LePage served in the Navy for two years before earning a bachelor’s degree at Southeastern Massachusetts University, now known as UMass Dartmouth.
He and his wife Carol may be most known for operating LePage’s Seafood that first began on Brayton Avenue before its current location on Martine Street. After 34-years, the couple retired in 2022.
While the general public remembers Eric for the restaurant he started, those who knew him remember him more for his kindness, generosity, and being an overall great guy. Even those that worked for him look back with fondness on how they were treated.
His Memorial Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 23rd at St. Anthony of the Desert Church, 300 North Eastern Avenue, Fall River, at 10:00 a.m.
