Firefighters revive unresponsive family pet while battling Tiverton blaze

Crews saved the life of a family pet after a Tiverton fire late Thursday.

According to the Tiverton Fire Department, just before midnight, the Tiverton Fire Department responded to the Dadson Mobile Estates at 301 Bulgarmarsh Road for a reported structure fire.

Upon arrival, Engine 3 found smoke and fire coming from a mobile home.

The fire was quickly brought under control.

While searching the structure for occupants or pets, firefighters located the family cat unresponsive under a bed. The cat was removed from the structure and was revived with oxygen.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
