Community coming together to help after Somerset father of three-month-old dies in Swansea crash
A Somerset man has died in a motorcycle crash after just recently becoming a father.
According to Gregg Miliote of the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, 24-year-old Brian Dunne lost control of his motorcycle and left the roadway sometime between 11:00 p.m. Monday and 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Dunne and his bike were found in a ditch off of Baker Road between Purchase Street and Breslin Path in Swansea.
No other vehicles were involved.
Dunne owned Dunne’s Transport and Towing and was a graduate of Diman Regional. His girlfriend Haileigh also recently gave birth to their daughter, leaving the community wanting to help as Dunne is well known throughout the area.
Emma Croke has been helping Haileigh and asking the public for help with baby items and people have responded in a big way sharing it over 150 times and lending their support.
Dunne’s service will be held on September 16th at noon with visitation from 10:00 a.m.to noon at the Waring-Sullivan Funeral Home in Somerset.
