Brockton police find stolen service dog for woman who has cancer at Walmart
Three-year-old Murphy is glad to be back home with his family and he has an officer to thank for it.
According to police, on Thursday, George Correia and his son reported their Shih Tzu stolen from Hovendon Street in Brockton.
Today, Brockton PD helped reunite the family after Officer Elisa Fontes found the teen who took the dog and found the Shih Tzu in Abington.
Correia says Murphy is a service dog for his wife, who has cancer. He says she’s ecstatic to have her best friend back.
The Brockton Police Department was happy to create the reunion and thanked the employees at animal control and at Walmart in Abington.
