As is sometimes the case, how an incident is called in by witnesses differs to what officers find once on scene. This was the case on Sunday morning for a shots fired call in Fall River.
Just after 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, a call came into dispatch from a witness stating that at the corner of Dover Street and Plymouth Avenue, a female walked up to a parked vehicle and shot it 10 times with a handgun. The caller thought that it could possibly have been a BB gun but believed it was a firearm.
According to Detective Sergeant Moses Pereira, the incident did not involve a firearm. It involved a young woman vandalizing her boyfriend’s vehicle after discovering his infidelity.
No other details were released.
