Police respond to deaths of several swans reported recently in Swansea
Residents of Swansea have expressed worry concerning the deaths of several swans in town, but it appears that the demise of the animals is not suspicious.
According to Lt. Patrick A. Mooney, the Swansea Police Department received a report of 3 deceased swans on March 24 and the Swansea Animal Control Officer was contacted and responded. The Swansea Animal Control Officer also received a report today, Tuesday, of an additional deceased Swan.
Mooney stated that at this time, it appears as though the swans died of natural causes.
According to Swansea residents, at least some of the deaths occurred at Compton’s Corner.
