Crash involving Bristol County Sheriff’s Office vehicle injures two on Route 140
A crash involving employees of the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office resulted in multiple injures on a local highway Monday evening.
According to the Lakeville Fire Department, a call came in from Massachusetts State Police reporting a 2-vehicle accident, involving a Bristol County Sheriff’s vehicle. The crash location was reported to be Route 140 south at County Street.
Car 1 arrived first to find the crash further south, just inside Freetown. Car 2, Ambulance 3, and Engine 1 also responded. Members from the Freetown Fire Department also responded to the crash.
Two Bristol County Sherrif’s Department employees were transported by Lakeville and Freetown Ambulances to St Lukes’s Hospital. LFD stated that their injuries are believed to be minor.
