IAFF Local 33283 Fire Union: Early morning crash sends 6 to 3 separate hospitals

Officials responded to a serious car crash early this morning that sent 6 people to the hospital.

At approximately 12:15 a.m. East Greenwich crews along with 4 mutual aid rescues from West Warwick, Warwick & North Kingstown responded to a single vehicle car crash versus a tree in the area of Middle Road & South County Trail.

6 patients were transported to the hospital.

According to the East Greenwich IAFF Local 33283, 3 patients were taken to Rhode Island Hospital Trauma Center, 2 were transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital, and 1other victim to Kent Hospital.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
