Somerset accident claims life of Swansea motorcycle rider
The accident occurred about 9:40 a.m. this morning.
Somerset Police are reporting a man was fatally struck during a crash Friday morning.
At approximately 9:40 a.m. this morning, an accident occurred on Route 138 in Somerset near the Rise Cafe. The accident involved a three-wheeled motorcycle and a Cardi’s Furniture truck.
Police had shut down County Street in the area of the Rise Cafe to investigate the incident.
Unfortunately the operator of the motorcycle has passed away.
According to Gregg Miliote of the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, the operator of the motorcycle was Eric Salvas, 31, from Swansea.
