Somerset man hits it big, wins $1 million in Massachusetts instant game
A Somerset man recently hit it big on a Massachusetts scratch ticket.
Donald Fortin has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$1,000,000 Royal Gold” instant win game.
Fortin chose the cash option for his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He plans on using his winnings to buy a house.
He purchased his winning ticket at Correia & Sons Market located at 500 Read Street in Somerset. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
