Fall River’s Merrow Manufacturing Becomes Regional Hub For FDA Approved Rapid Antigen Tests
Fall River-based Merrow Medical, a subsidiary of Merrow Manufacturing, this weekend received more than 500,000 FDA approved Rapid Antigen Tests for covid detection. The company will be distributing them throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island starting Monday with a priority going to work places and citizens of Fall River, New Bedford and Rhode Island.
“90 days ago Merrow started testing our employees with Rapid Antigen Tests and we learned two things; the tests were way too hard to get and testing was the most important way to keep Merrow employees healthy at work,” said Merrow Manufacturing CEO Charlie Merrow. “So we became a national distributor of Rapid Antigen Tests. This is a big deal and a public health issue. We’re proud that Merrow is able to support and prioritize the south coast.”
This inventory of covid tests will make Merrow Medical the largest distributor of Rapid Antigen Tests in New England and per Charlie Merrow, one of the few in the country with reliable supply for the next several months.
Merrow Medical is taking e-commerce orders at pcrplan.com and taking large orders through their health@merrow.com email address. Orders taken during business hours will ship the same day they are placed.
