Teenager killed in motor vehicle crash in Brockton
BROCKTON – A 19-year-old has been killed in a single motor vehicle crash in Brockton overnight, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.
At approximately 9:27 p.m. last night, Brockton Police received multiple 911 calls reporting a motor vehicle crash at 422 East Street. Brockton Police and emergency medical personnel responded and located a 2004 Mercedes C240 that had left the roadway and struck a telephone pole.
The male operator of the car and sole occupant was transported to Brockton Hospital where he was pronounced dead of his injuries. He has been identified as Tony Sostre of Brockton.
Those who knew Sostre spoke of a young life gone way too soon.
Family has created a GoFundMe page for expenses, and it has generated over $10,000 as of this writing.
Brockton Police contacted Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and an investigation commenced. The investigation is ongoing.
