On April 5, 2018 at approximately 5:26pm Barnstable Police were called to 77 Mitchell’s Way Hyannis after a contractor observed 6 individuals inside the abandoned home with what he believed to be two hand-guns and two rifles or shotguns.

Several patrol units responded to the address and ordered the occupants to exit. After several minutes and repeated commands, a male and female exited the dwelling and were detained. Over the course of several more minutes, three more individuals alighted from the home and were also detained. A search of the premises revealed several containers, equipment, and ingredients typically used in making methamphetamine, and what appeared to be the precursor to a meth lab. One container had a powder-like substance which was later proven to be fentanyl.
