According to Massachusetts State Police, at approximately 2:09 a.m., Troopers from the State Police-Norwell Barracks responded to a single-vehicle crash on Route 3 northbound in Weymouth. When the Troopers arrived on scene, they discovered two occupants were trapped in the vehicle, both with serious injuries.

All lanes were then reopened.
