Massachusetts man who was wanted on multiple counts of aggravated rape of a child held without bail
Chief Peter Bartlett reports that the suspect wanted in Dracut for multiple counts of aggravated rape of a child was arrested in Lawrence Tuesday night by the Lawrence Police Department.
Gabriel Yepez, 43, of Lawrence, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and charged with Aggravated Rape of a Child (three counts) and Rape of a Child With Force (three counts)
On November 16, following an extensive investigation, Dracut Police Department detectives obtained an arrest warrant from Lowell District Court charging Yepez in connection with a series of assaults involving a child known to Yepez.
Wednesday, Yepez was arraigned and ordered held without bail, according to NBC Boston.
Yepez was known to the family.
The child’s mother was so upset when notified of the charges that she had to be taken to the hospital.
