Swansea firefighters limit damage in serious wind-driven Monday evening blaze
A fire that caused major damage in Swansea Monday, could have been much worse.
Swansea firefighters received a call just after 7:00 p.m. concerning a fire on Bushee Road.
Upon arrival, responders discovered a garage fully involved during a rain storm that was seeing wind gusts of up to 60 mph.
While the garage and its contents were destroyed, according to the Swansea Fire Department, an aggressive attack prevented extension to the home located about six feet from the garage.
The fire is under investigation.
