Massachusetts COVID-19 active cases top 30,000, sees increase in deaths as country nears 11 million cases
Massachusetts saw another increase in hospitalizations in Sunday’s COVID-19 report.
Massachusetts has seen 2,076 more positive cases announced today. A decrease from Saturday’s report. The 7 day weighted average positive test rate finally took a very small dip to 3.06% from 3.07%.
Massachusetts had seen 2,841 more positive cases announced yesterday.
The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total confirmed cases to 182,524 with 33 more reported dead for a total of 10,098.
The overall amount of tests administered in Massachusetts is now 7,268,466 after 71,371 new molecular tests.
The 3 day average of COVID-19 deaths increased to 23.
Estimated active cases are currently 30,374.
Hospitalizations have increased in 44 of the last 62 days and 19 of the last 21 and increased by 32 today to see the total raise to 737.

Weekly COVID-19 Public Health Report
According to Thursday’s report, Fall River has a 62.5 Average Daily Incident Rate per 100,000 (Last 14 days) (41.8 last week) which is the fourth highest in the state among communities in the red. New Bedford sits at 29.9. Westport is also in the red at 44.8, Swansea is at 37.6, and Somerset 47.1.
Massachusetts residents subject to COVID-19 quarantine by current status up to November 11th
• Total of individuals subject to quarantine: 114,110
• Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 107,158
• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 6,952
As of November 15th, according to the CDC, the United States has seen 10,846,373 cases of COVID-19 with 244,810 reported deaths.
