Prinicipal addresses Durfee social media threat
Matt Desmarais, principal of Durfee High School, has addressed a social media threat to Durfee done anonymously through Snapchat.
Desmarais states that they have no information that the threat is credible, but out of an abundance of caution, Durfee will have elevated police presence, bag checks on everyone entering the building, and additional personnel, along with random security measures tomorrow.

The problem is they need to keep the medal detectors and make sure they work not just for show and really search back pack’s. My children have informed me that plenty of students still bring weapons to school. The school department should run like the court house everyone has to be searched and go through a medal detectors
