On Monday, February 5th, at about 7:00 p.m., an armed robbery occurred at Farm Market (223 Durfee St). Officers Brendan McNerney, Matthew Gauvin, John Deschenes, Ross Aubin, and Street Supervisor Gregory Bell of the Fall River Police Departments Uniform Division responded.

On arrival, they were told a light-skinned black or Hispanic male entered the store and asked the clerk for cigarettes. He was described as medium build, approximately 5’10”, wearing a dark grey hooded sweatshirt, a black ski mask, light grey sweatpants, and black sneakers (possibly Nike low top). Once the clerk turned around with the cigarettes, the male suspect began showing a small silver pistol and demanded all of the money from the register. The male suspect noticed the clerk’s children (young boy and girl) in the store and threatened to kill them if the clerk did “anything stupid.” The clerk handed the suspect cash from the register. While the drawer was opened, the suspect reached into the register for the remaining cash. The suspect left the store with a box of cigarettes and approximately a moderate sum of cash.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Officer Brendan McNerney at (bmcnerney@FRPD.ORG) or Detective Felicia Melo (fmelo@FRPD.ORG) 508-676-8511 or call the Fall River Police Departments anonymous tip line at 508-672-TIPS(8477)
