Massachusetts passes 96,000 COVID-19 cases as state moves closer to phase II, deaths, hospitalizations decline

Saturday, Massachusetts saw continue decreases in COVID-19 numbers as statistics overall have been on a downward trend in deaths and hospitalizations.

Massachusetts has seen 789 more positive cases announced in the last 24 hours. An increase from the previous 24 hour period.

The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 96,301 with 50 more reported dead for a total of 6,768.

Massachusetts had seen 617 more positive cases in the previous 24 hour period.

10,774 tests were performed, over 1,350 more than the total released yesterday, to increase the overall total to 582,519.

Hospitalizations have decreased in 16 of the last 18 days with a continued decline in deaths overall.

Massachusetts residents subject to COVID-19 quarantine by current status up to May 26th

• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 13,211

According to the CDC, as of May 30th, the total amount of cases in the country is 1,737,950 with 102,785 dead.

Phase II start determined next week; restaurants to open under list of guidelines including outdoor seating
