Man arrested for murder in fatal shooting of Jake Williams in Fall River

Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III and Fall River Police Chief Jeffrey Cardoza announced this evening that a 23-year-old Fall River man has been arrested and charged in connection with today’s homicide in Fall River.

According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, Rayquan Robinson is being charged this evening with murder, attempted assault and battery by means of a firearm, carrying an illegal firearm and carrying a load​ed illegal firearm.

The defendant will be held in jail overnight and arraigned via videoconference sometime tomorrow. The arraignment details and timing will be determined by the Fall River District Court Clerk’s Office.

Fall River Police, Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the district attorney’s office and Homicide Unit prosecutors continue to actively investigating the shooting, which occurred late this morning in Fall River.

Fall River Police responded around 11:25 a.m. today to 911 calls regarding a shooting in the area of Mott Street and Warren Street. When first responders arrived on scene, they located the victim and rushed him to St. Anne’s Hospital, where was pronounced deceased.

The victim was later identified as Jake Williams, 22, of Fall River.

The arraignment will be handled by Assistant District Attorney Carolyn Morrissette.
