Police free hawk in Westport Monday from vehicle
These types of calls typical don’t end well, but police were able to rescue a hawk that had a bad encounter with a car.
According to Massachusetts Environmental Police, this afternoon a Massachusetts Environmental Police Officer responded to assist the Westport Police Department with a hawk that was accidentally struck by a vehicle and had become lodged in the vehicle’s front end.
Thankfully, the Officer successfully recovered the hawk.
Initial observations showed the animal to be alert and responsive.
The hawk has been transported to a rehabilitation clinic for further evaluation and treatment.
