Elderly bicyclist injured in Monday morning crash in Dartmouth
DARTMOUTH, MA – On Monday, November 11, 2019 at approximately 9:55 a.m., Dartmouth Police responded to the intersection of Slocum Road and Lexington Avenue to investigate a motor vehicle vs. bicyclist crash.
According to DPD, upon arrival, it was determined that an elderly female bicyclist from Dartmouth had been struck by a 2010 Volkswagen Beetle operated by a 18 year old Dartmouth woman, identified as Kailee Ferreira.
As a result of the crash, the elderly female was transported by ambulance to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is currently being investigated by members of the Dartmouth Police Crash Reconstruction Unit.
No information regarding charges or the medical status of the bicyclist is currently available.
