Fall River police capture “Red Bull Bandit”

On Wednesday November 22nd, 2017 at approximately 8:30 pm Officer Christopher Rocha, Michael Pessoa, and A. DeMelo of the Fall River Police Departments Uniform Division were dispatched to The Rainbow Shop located at 51 Mariano Bishop Boulevard in regards to a shoplifter taking baby clothes and stuffing them down his pants.
On arrival Officers spoke with the store manager who gave the shoplifter the name “Red Bull Bandit”. The Manager then proceded to describe the male shoplifter as:
Small Hispanic male
Black sweatshirt
Riding a small purple bike with a basket in front of it
Upon hearing the description broadcast, Officer B. Oliveira stated he dealt with a male fitting that description and identified him as Eddie Pagan age 33 of Quequechan Street. Officers responded to the area of Quequechan street where Officer DeMelo was able to locate Mr. Pagan riding the small purple bike with the basket. Mr. Pagan was detained. When questioned about the bulge in his pants, Officer Pessoa removed 5 sets of baby clothes with the Rainbow tags still attached.
Pagan was placed under arrest for Shoplifting by Concealment.
