Fall River was visited by movie royalty on Saturday
Fall River was in the presence of movie royalty yesterday.
Bill Murray, who is known for his stint on Saturday Night Live and his long list of hit movies including Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day, and Caddyshack, stopped by one of Fall River’s popular eateries, Patti’s Pierogis on Saturday.
Murray wasn’t alone in his trip for local Polish food as with him was Peter Farrelly.
Farrelly, who has partnered with his brother Bobby to produce, write, and direct comedies, is best known for the hit movies Dumb and Dumber, There’s Something About Mary, and Green Book.
Judging by Murray’s hat, he was really looking for some good pierogis so why not come to one of, if not the most popular spot in the area for them? Both Murray and Farrelly planned the trip here specifically to go to the restaurant.
In the photo, Murray and Farrelly are seen with Patti’s owner Patti Geary who is no stranger to having celebrities drop by her South Main Street location.
In 2012, Guy Fieri stopped by to feature Patti’s on his Food Network show Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives.
