Traffic stop at Dartmouth business leads to drug arrest
DARTMOUTH, MA – On Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at approximately 1:45 p.m., Dartmouth Police Narcotics Detectives conducted a motor vehicle stop at the Dartmouth Motor Inn.
According to Detective Kyle Costa, during the corresponding investigation, detectives located approximately 9 grams of suspected crack cocaine inside of the vehicle.
As a result of their investigation, the operator, identified as Joshua Washburn, 24, of New Bedford, was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
At the time of his arrest, Washburn had approximately $1,100 in cash on his person that was seized.
