A local man is being recognized for his outstanding work with cancer patients.

Dartmouth’s Mark Theodore, a licensed clinical social worker and oncology social worker at Saint Anne’s Hospital, has been named a 2026 “Game Changer” by the Joe Andruzzi Foundation for his work helping cancer patients access critical financial assistance.

Through his work with JAF, Mark has directly connected more than 160 patients with the Foundation’s assistance programs, which help families undergoing cancer treatment with essential expenses such as housing, utilities and other household costs.

Mark will be honored during the Foundation’s annual Late Night fundraiser at Gillette Stadium on November 10th, along with four other individuals and organizations that have made a significant impact on JAF’s mission.

“Every person and family we have the privilege of supporting has a story, and those stories are what continue to inspire us every day,” said Joe Andruzzi, Co-Founder and Chief Engagement Officer, Joe Andruzzi Foundation. “This year’s Late Night is about bringing some of those experiences to life, celebrating the incredible community behind our mission, and coming together to make sure cancer patients and their families know they don’t have to face the financial challenges of a diagnosis alone.”

“This year’s Game Changers show that there are so many ways to make a difference for patients and families facing cancer,” said Jen Andruzzi, Co-Founder, President and CEO, Joe Andruzzi Foundation. “Whether it’s connecting patients with critical resources, raising funds, building partnerships or helping us reach new communities, each of these honorees has played an important role in moving our mission forward.”

The evening will also feature the return of globe-trotting British auctioneer Jacqueline Towers-Perkins, who will bring her wit and signature energy to the evening’s fundraising efforts.

Rising singer-songwriter Izzy Escobar, whose original music is featured on The Devil Wears Prada 2 soundtrack, will take the Late Night stage to close out the evening with a special musical performance.

Proceeds from the event will support the Joe Andruzzi Foundation’s work providing financial assistance to New England cancer patients and their families, helping ease the burden of essential household expenses while patients undergo treatment.
