The Fall River Police Department has made an arrest after an investigation.
According to police, on Monday, detectives assigned to the Community Action & Suppression Team, with the assistance of the Department’s Emergency Services Unit, executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 300 block of Mulberry Street. The target of the search warrant was a 14-year-old juvenile. During the execution of the warrant, detectives located a Smith & Wesson SD40VE .40-caliber handgun equipped with a 14-round magazine containing eight rounds of ammunition.
As a result of the investigation, the juvenile was taken into custody and transported to the Fall River Police Department, where he was booked on the following charges:
• Possession of a Large-Capacity Firearm
• Possession of a Firearm Without an FID Card
• Possession of Ammunition Without an FID Card
• Improper Storage of a Large-Capacity Firearm
• Possession of a Large-Capacity Feeding Device
All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
