Fall River Police made an arrest after an initial shots fired call over the weekend.
According to police, on Friday, at approximately 10:45 p.m., Fall River Police responded to a report of a possible gunshot from inside an apartment building on County Street.
The original report was made using an internet-based phone number that could not be located or pinged. Based on the investigation, officers found no evidence to substantiate that a shooting occurred. Shortly after Officers cleared, FRPD received a call that after Officers left, a male returned, and he didn’t belong at the house.
Their investigation did lead to 49-year-old Lawrence Crump being arrested and charged with Trespassing, Vandalizing Property, and Breaking and Entering a Building with Intent to Commit a Felony.
Court records show that Crump pled not guilty at arraignment Monday in Fall River District Court and was released on personal recognizance.
A pretrial hearing is scheduled for November 19th.
