Several agencies responded to a serious crash on Saturday afternoon in Fall River.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. Massachusetts State Police received multiple emergency calls for a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries involving a motorcycle that hit a guardrail at the North Main Street exit on Route 79 South.
According to Fall River EMS, at the request of Massachusetts State Police, Fall River EMS Squad 12 and Medic 5 responded to the scene with Fall River Fire Engine 6 and Massachusetts State Police.
1 patient was found with significant injuries and was quickly placed into the back of the ambulance. Medic 5-staffed with 1 paramedic and 1 EMT-and Squad 12 transported to Rhode Island Hospital Trauma Center with 3 paramedics and 1 Advanced EMT as the driver. Patient care was transferred to Rhode Island Hospital for critical care.
EMS wanted to remind all drivers to be cautious when driving, to watch out for motorcycles, to drive the speed limit and to always wear your seatbelt.
