Authorities identify Cape Cod man as one of three killed in collision involving multiple motorcycles

Two motorcycles collided on Route 3 in Laconia late Saturday, killing three people and leaving a fourth person with serious injuries, New Hampshire Patch reported.

Laconia Police Chief Matthew Canfield confirmed the crash happened at approximately 11:00 p.m. near Funspot and the Looney Bin.

According to New Hampshire Patch, the initial investigation indicates the motorcycles were traveling in opposite directions when they struck each other. One of the motorcycles caught fire after the collision.

Two men and one woman were pronounced dead at the scene. A fourth person was flown by DHART to Concord Hospital with serious injuries.

Police said each motorcycle appeared to have an operator and a passenger at the time of the crash.

The motorcycle operators were identified as Cameron Mosher of Dennis, Massachusetts, and Miles Collette of Gilford. Jeanine Fereshetian of Laconia was identified as one of the passengers. All three died at the scene.

Authorities have not released the name of the woman taken to Concord Hospital.

Canfield said no businesses in the area were involved. It is not yet known whether speed or impairment played a role in the crash.
