Here is an update on the Swansea openings of Aldi, PetSmart, Burlington, Five Below; 2 new restaurants also coming

Four new retail businesses are coming to Swansea soon and we are beginning to get opening dates.

Gator Investments had previously announced that coming to Swansea Mall Center at 58-66 Swansea Mall Drive is Aldi Supermarket, Five Below, PetSmart, and Burlington.

Aldi, with current locations in Fall River, Dartmouth, and Raynham, is known for its exclusive brands and their Twice as Nice Guarantee where for any reason if you are not 100% satisfied with the quality of any product, they will replace the product and refund your money. The Swansea spot is expected to be operational by the first quarter of 2027 and could be ready as early as the fall.

FiveBelow, with current spots in Fall River, Dartmouth, and Raynham, is known as a retail chain where most of their items are below $5. Their opening date is scheduled for August 28th and will feature deals, activities & trivia (with prizes) all weekend long. They will be passing out a free drawstring bag while supplies last.

PetSmart, with locations in Fall River, Swansea, and Raynham, is a retail chain and pet superstore focusing on pet products and services. The store is expected to move from Route 6 and be operational by the first quarter of 2027.

Burlington is located in Fall River, Dartmouth, and Seekonk and offers a wide selection of brand-name clothing, home decor, and more at discount prices. They are expected to open in the fall.

The locations have already begun hiring.

Chairman of the Swansea Planning Board Jonathan Carreiro stated earlier this year that the development also includes plans for two restaurants—one with approximately 110 seats and another with about 60 seats. These restaurants are not part of the initial phases of the project and are planned for a later stage of the development.
