Massachusetts State Police announce 74 arrests, with 19 firearms, 1,700+ grams of drugs, $59,000 in cash seized
Massachusetts State Police has announced that their Gang Unit continue to work diligently throughout the Commonwealth in an effort to reduce violent crime involving gang activity, firearm trafficking and narcotics distribution.
In June 2026, Troopers assigned to the MSP Gang Unit collaborated with local, state and federal law enforcement partners in several investigations across Massachusetts leading to the seizure of numerous firearms and hundreds of grams of narcotics, as well as the apprehension of several violent gang associates.
During the month of June 2026, Gang Unit Troopers participated in the apprehension/summons of seventy-four (74) criminals, removed nineteen (19) firearms and seized more than 1,700 grams of potentially deadly narcotics from the streets of the Commonwealth to include almost 1,070 grams of suspected fentanyl/heroin, 525 grams of cocaine/crack and nearly 120 grams of methamphetamine. Additionally, Gang Unit members confiscated over $59,000 in US currency, which is believed to be the proceeds of illicit activity.
The offenders detained by Gang Unit Troopers were charged or wanted in connection with offenses to include Assault & Battery on a Police Officer, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Possession of an Untraceable Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession of Ammunition, Armed Robbery, Trafficking Fentanyl, Trafficking Cocaine, Distribution of Class A, Distribution Class B, Domestic Assault & Battery, Possession Class A, Possession Class B, Possession Class E, Resisting Arrest, Interfere with Police, Shoplifting, Receiving Stolen Property, Receiving Stolen MV, Larceny, Disorderly Conduct, Probation Violation, Violation of Restraining Order and motor vehicle related offenses.
