Fall River man known for successful career in television, radio, and commercials, passes away

OBITUARY

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Eduardo Monte Rodrigues, age 77, who passed away on June 17, 2026, at Sarah Brayton. He was the beloved husband to Maria I. (Perierinha) Rodrigues. Born in São Miguel, Açores, he was the son to the late Eduardo and Eduarda (Alberegia) Rodrigues.

He built a successful career in broadcasting and media, appearing in numerous commercials and becoming a well-known voice on the radio. He served as a television anchor in Bristol, where he earned recognition for his on-air presence and connection with viewers. In addition to his television work, he was a familiar voice on 97.3 AM, reaching audiences throughout the region with his engaging style and dedication to broadcasting.

He is survived by his children: Patricia Lapierre (husband Paul), Paulo Rodrigues and Noah Cardoso (wife Chanel); siblings: Urania, Jose and Joao Rodrigues; grandchildren: Tyler Lapierre, Greyson Rodrigues, Charlotte Cardoso and Julianna Cardoso.

Private arrangements were entrusted to the care of Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River.
