Local and Massachusetts State Police looking for armed shoplifter from Bristol County Walmart

Raynham Police are working to identify an armed shoplifter who fled from a store in town earlier today.

At 11:58 a.m., Raynham Police responded to Walmart on Paramount Drive for a reported shoplifter who fled from the store.

The suspect ran south, dropping a backpack containing a firearm along Paramount Drive.

Massachusetts State Police responded to the scene and assisted in the search, providing a K-9 tracker and its Air Wing helicopter.

Police have not located the suspect, but the investigation to identify him is ongoing.
