Massachusetts woman has reason to smile after random selection leads to State Lottery win

A Massachusetts State Lottery player was given a big reason to smile after random numbers landed her some cash.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, the Mass Cash $100,000 grand prize was hit by Linda Freitas.

The winning ticket was purchased at Dan’s Convenient Mart in Everett. The store receives a $1,000 bonus for its sale of the winning ticket.

Freitas got the win thanks to a Quic Pic.

Mass Cash drawings are conducted twice a day, seven days a week. The cost of each play is $1. To play, you must pick five out of 35 numbers or choose Quic Pic, which randomly picks the five numbers for you. Tickets that match all five winning numbers selected in the drawing win the game’s top prize.
