Trip to Massachusetts convenience store results in $1,000,000 State Lottery win on instant game

A trip to a Massachusetts convenience store recently turned out to be very lucrative as it resulted in a big State Lottery win.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Lilly Trust of Chicopee has claimed a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” $10 instant ticket game.

The trust, represented by trustee James Gelinas, opted to receive its prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes).

The winning ticket was purchased at Union Mart, 420 Union St. in Westfield. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

$2,000,000 50X Cashword has four $2,000,000 and eight $1,000,000 prizes remaining.
