Person of interest identified as 34-year-old woman dead after Pawtucket stabbing

A weekend stabbing in a local community has turned fatal.

According to Detective Sergeant Trevor Lefebvre, on Sunday, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Pawtucket Police Department responded to an address on Sterry Street for a reported disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers located a 34‑year‑old female who had sustained multiple stab wounds.

First responders initiated life‑saving measures, and she was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.

After further investigation, the incident appears to be domestic in nature.

A person of interest has been identified, and the suspect vehicle has been located. Authorities have not yet released the person’s name.

The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
