Authorities announce death of 14-year-old Massachusetts teen after incident

A Massachusetts teen has died after an incident that took place early Monday afternoon.

According to Sgt. Elise Miranda, the Worcester Police Department is investigating a water- related death of a 14-year-old child.

Police were dispatched to Almont Avenue at approximately 12:23 p.m.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased at 1:09 p.m.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing and no further details were released.
