Massachusetts man credits fortune cookie for win on recent State Lottery game

A Massachusetts man recently came away with a State Lottery win and he can thank some Chinese food for the score.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Thomas Cail of Stoneham is the winner of the Mass Cash $100,000 grand prize.

He purchased his winning ticket at Citgo Quik Mart in Reading. The store has received a $1,000 bonus for its sale of this winning ticket.

Cail played numbers he received from a fortune cookie.

Mass Cash drawings are conducted twice a day, seven days a week. The cost of each play is $1. To play, you must pick five out of 35 numbers or choose Quic Pic, which randomly picks the five numbers for you. Tickets that match all five winning numbers selected in the drawing win the game’s top prize.
