Fall River, MA – B.M.C. Durfee High School has announced that they have been named to the 2025 Advanced Placement School Honor Roll, earning bronze-level recognition from the College Board.

The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering strong results while broadening participation. Schools earn recognition annually based on three key measures: college-going culture, college credit, and college readiness.

According to the College Board’s 2025 AP School Honor Roll Progress Report:

· 42% of Durfee’s Class of 2025 took at least one AP exam during high school

· 26% earned a score of 3 or higher, qualifying for potential college credit

· 13% completed five or more AP exams, including at least one taken in 9th or 10th grade — achieving Gold-level performance in college optimization

“This recognition reflects the dedication of our students and the incredible work of our teachers and leaders,” said Durfee Principal, Dr. Jessica Stephens. “We will continue to expand opportunities that prepare all Durfee students for college and career success.”

The AP School Honor Roll highlights schools that are intentionally growing participation in Advanced Placement courses while maintaining strong outcomes.

The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program enables students to take college-level coursework while still in high school, developing critical thinking, writing, and problem-solving skills that prepare them for future success.
